Drug Free World Africa Triggered Health Sensitization Program

The good health campaign led by the Special Adviser on Health, Hon.Dr.Lina Okereke, coordinator Drug Free World Africa Imo State Project which is totally free dwells on awareness of several health issues and adverse effect of self-medication which could unveil as drug abuse. She stressed on the importance of seeking for doctors’ advice and prescription for any drug intake. She prompted parents to develop good drug management approach at home to reduce exposing children to reckless drugs interaction from early stage of life. She also charged parents to be proactive in observing early signs of changes in attitude and behaviour in their children to enable early intervention in children’s drug abuse which is key to disengage them from drug addiction. In addition, a voluntary screening of Hepatitis B, Malaria parasites, Cancer screening, Diabetes, HIV 1 &11 and Treatment Prescriptions was given to all participants. The entire community were extremely happy and expressed surprised that the programme was first of its kind ever witnessed in their life time in the community. Hon Dr Lina told Nkwere community that this project triggered by Drug Free World Africa under the 3R gospel of the Imo state Governor, Dist.Sen.Hope Uzodinma who was equally on fire this summer especially on the Health of the entire Imo Women and continuing to the communities yet unreached. It is one of the cardinal programmes of the peoples Governor to ensure healthy Health for ALL Imo Women. She said after visiting Two extra-large community’s vis-a-vis ARO-OFEIMO community in Okigwe LGA and EZIHE community in Isiala Mbano LGA which were given the 3R message of Health Awareness/Screening on the topic: Family Health; Dangers of Drug Abuse and Cancer for Health Education on the 17th and 19th of August meetings, respectively it was identified the quest to spread the awareness across other communities and hence today Nkwere took the turn. Unprecedented population of Nkwerre Aborigines Women embraced the Health programme with massive pomp and pageantry in Nkwerre Kingdom Civic Centre on the 20th of August. Special Adviser on Health to the Imo State to Governor, Dist Sen.Hope Uzodinma told the women that her coming to them was on the magnanimity of the Governor who has their interest at heart spreading share dividends of democracy to their communities particularly on the basic Medical Healthcare which is one of the cardinal priorities of the Shared prosperity government. She also stated that an NGO who’s name has gone far and wide due to their aggressive campaign on NO TO DRUG ABUSE has spontaneously triggered the practical health awareness campaign which she is optimistic they will embrace the health education for positive outcome in their community. Irresistibly and interestingly as the programme turned to be, the communities women asked Hon Dr Lina Okereke to relay their appreciation and total support to the Governor to the organisation Drg Free World Africa. Free Medical No to Drug Abuse Outreach to Ezihe Community Women

  The Free medical outreach on good health and drug abuse campaign reached to EZIHE COMMUNITY. Ezihe Community Women experienced the Free Medical and No to Drug Abuse campaign during their August meeting. The women said they were so happy to receive SA Health Imo State, Hon. Dr Lina Okereke and her free medical package which they heard of as it keeps moving round the community and hope that it reaches them which today happens to be their day. They said that seeing is believing as they have never been remembered by any administration, here today under Gov. Hope Uzodinma a special health care pack is extended to them by God’s sent Leader in the person of Hon Dr Lina Okereke.   In addition to health no to drug abuse talk, a voluntary screening of Hepatitis B, Malaria parasites, Cancer screening, Diabetes, HIV 1 &11 and Treatment Prescriptions was given to all participants. The entire community were extremely happy and expressed surprised that the programme was first of its kind ever witnessed in their life time in the community. Community Health Is Wealth Campaign Educating on Drug Abuse Related Health Issues.

Liberia Drug Must Fall School Campaign

Dolo’s Town public, A.M.E Zion University and St. Thomas junior and high School Liberia Youths, students, and teachers engaged on interactive program on drug abused in schools. The drugs substance abused and addiction civic education awareness in school sensitise youths towards dangers of drug abuse and help to reduce or prevent the youthful population from drugs addiction and substance abused. Kano State Sensitization Campaign in the Public Sector

In deepening the advocacy campaign on drug addiction and abuse *On 23rd March 2021, Drug Free World Africa engaged public Sector on drug sensitization led by Nura Sani,  Kano State Drug Free World Africa Representative . Sensitization against drugs trafficking and the distribution of free Educational Materials to Kano State and all Nigerian Luxurious transportation companies and their associations was effectively carried out to the excitement of all participant and recipients. Drug Free World Africa Cross Rivers State Chapter goes on 1000 youth walk towards sensitization of “No to Drug Abuse”. Drug Free World Africa a charitable organization that empowers youth and adults with factual information on “Truth About Drugs” enabling them to make an informed decision embarks on drug-free walk in Calabar Cross Rivers State Nigeria. Drug Free World Africa Cross River State Representative Dr Hannah Etta boldly marched 1000 youths towards sensitization of Cross Rivers State on No To Drug abuse towards drug free youth. She said it’s now or never to stop the drug menace in the community and reduce heinous crimes in the country. Youth said they will not stay and watch drugs snatch their friends away, that they must act now to march drugs out of their state and in Africa. Slogan “No To Drug Abuse” Cross River State. “Let me say that this war is deadly than the insurgency we have in the North-eastern part of the country or the acts of banditry in the Northwest or acts of kidnapping that transcends all the geopolitical zones of this country because it is a war that is destroying three generations”. I’ve seen instances of where grandparents are on drugs, parents are on drugs, and by extension, their wards, their children are on drugs. We educate the young one and catch them young before drugs do. We Cross River State youth will go out of our way to protect our friends and families from the destruction effect of drug abuse and therefore join forces with DFWA to walk out the deadly monster drugs on the streets of Cross River State.
