Mega Million March against Drug Abuse gets another endorsement

The National women leader of APC Dr Betta Edu has charged Nigerian youths to shun Drug Abuse and Violence as she endorsed the DFWA mega million march against in Abuja. In a meeting held on 7th July 2022 at the National Secretariat of All-Progressive Congress FCT, Abuja, Mrs. Edu endorsed DFWA Mega Million March against Drug Abuse and congratulated the organization for their doggedness and readiness to subdue drugs and trafficking of illicit substances in Nigeria and Africa at large. “I call on well-meaningful Nigerians, government agencies and other corporate bodies to key into this vision and to make good use of the platform of the Mega-Million March against Drug Abuse to sensitize youths to abstain from drug abuse and live a productive life”, she said. She further encouraged the DFWA team to keep up with the good work and to encourage youths to shun drugs, shun violence and build a better Nigeria. DFWA representatives expressed delight and disclosed the urgent need for massive investment in healthcare service delivery through community intervention to address drug abuse and encourage youth participation advocacy.

Mega Million March against Drug Abuse (M3-ADA) Goes to National Assembly FCT Abuja

poised to bring the fight against Drug Abuse to Abuja, DFWA embarks on a mega million march against drug abuse in the federal capital territory. The Chief Editor of DFWA, Chief Samuel Egba at the National State of Assembly stated some strategies to carry out on achieving the best result and also having the best impact of Mega Million March against drug abuse in Abuja. One of the strategies include the creation of projects towards youth employment and Rehabilitating Drug Addicts to re-integrate into the community. With the help of the Project Committee Chairman Hon. Dr Lina Okereke, Different materials for the M3- ADA were made available towards the enlightenment of the project. Rt Honorable Alex Egbona, member representing Abi/ Yakurr Federal Constituency gave his maximum support stating how pleased he is to see an organization like Drug Free World Africa taking on an aggressive step to de-radicalize youth against drug abuse. He further expressed his regret that the national Assembly was in recess and promised to take it up to circulate and mega million march against drug abuse within the house. The Abuja Mega-Million Drug-Free March will take place on October 13th 2022 to sensitize youths to abstain from drug abuse and live productive lives.

Truth About Drug: DFWA tell Stories at Ogene Ndigbo Newspaper Day

Drug Free World Africa has shared “Truth About Drugs” booklets at Ogene Ndigbo Newspaper Day which was held on 23rd July 2022 at South East London. A visible impact of the no to drug abuse was commended by the Prime founder of Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture Mr. Obi Okoli who expressed his gratitude to DFWA on their proactive act to educate youths in different events. According to him, DFWA is always spotted in most events passionately educating on Truth About Drugs which is keeping youths informed of the dangers of drug abuse and encouraging them to live a drug free life. Responding to Mr. Obi, the President of DFWA thanked him and said it gives DFWA joy to know that people appreciate what they do and that the organization will not stop until the last child standing stops drug abuse. Mrs. Timi McQuade, one of the frontline directors of DFWA joined words with the president to say that DFWA will keep spreading the No to Drug Abuse message until youths will find their Highs in their Passion but not drugs. During the event, an outstanding personality Actress Ms Abigail Nwachukwu and a young Ghana artist endorsed the good cause of the organization by wrapping truth about drugs in a promotional music identified with DFWA showing readiness to propagate the “Truth About Drugs” message.

NYCM Endorse DFWA’s Mega Million March against Drug Abuse

The National Youth Council of Nigeria has endorsed the Mega Million March against Drug Abuse organized by Drug Free World Africa. Mr. Solomon Adodo, the president of National Youth Council of Nigeria endorsed the DFWA mega million march in his office at No. 4b Epe Close, off Sokoto Crescent, beside Area 1 shopping complex, Garki Abuja. This was done during the courtesy visit by DFWA chief editor, Chief Sam Egba in the company of Mr Eniji Samuel on introduction of the Mega Million March against Drug Abuse in Abuja on 21st July 2022. While commending the effort of DFWA, Mr. Solomon Adodo said that the ministry for Youth and Sports Development as its supervisory body with instrumental means to empowerment endorsed the Mega Million March against Drug Abuse and pledged his support towards the actualization of a successful event. He further encourages everyone to stand against drug abuse and hailed the doggedness of DFWA on its timely projects and programs that are geared towards crime reduction and youth engagement. The president of DFWA Engr. Chinagorum Nkaru said that Mega Million March against drug abuse will stand out as a massive outreach platform spreading “Truth about drugs”. According to her, DFWA is pleased to bring the fight against Drug Abuse to Abuja the federal capital territory in a mega move that will sound loud in everyone’s ear especially youths that drug abuse is not an alternative lifestyle. Towards Curbing Drug Abuse DFWA Adopts Logo for Abuja Mega Million March

DFWA has finally emerged with a logo for the 2022 Mega Million March against Drug Abuse in Abuja. While working towards a relentless anti-drug event and to consolidate on the success achieved in various campaigns, DFWA is strategizing to organize a mega million march against drug abuse for Africa hosting in FCT, Abuja, Nigeria. The team came up with a “No to drugs’ ‘ logo During their leadership meeting on 19th July 2022 after much deliberations and review of several designs. Engr. Chinagorum Nkaru, DFWA president said that the logo which explained the dangers of illicit drug usage will sensitize youths to abstain from drug abuse and live more productive lives. The Africa-wide campaign which will be hosting with Abuja is scheduled for October 13, 2022.

DFWA Introduces “Truth About Drugs” at Igbo Festival

Drug Free World Africa has showcased “Truth About Drugs “on Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture (IFAC) Day, 16th July 20-22 at Jubilee Park Enfield, London. Engr. Chinagorum Nkaru, the president of DFWA who hosted the program said that “Truth About Drugs” holds no barrier and should be shared anywhere, anytime and anyplace to serve as a multi-viral channel to reach communities across the globe. She further stated that the mission of spreading “Truth About Drugs” is to raise a generation who will remain free from the ravages of drug abuse. Addressing drug challenges in health and humanitarian crises, Members of DFWA shared 1,500 “truth About Drugs” booklets in the Igbo festival event with over 10,500 participants, 93 ethnic groups of Igboland and 35 vendors. The Team Energy keeps attracting like minds as youths engage and share their experiences in a fight against drug abuse. Diverse groups interacted on “Truth About Drugs” and Wider audience were captured.

Addicts Renounce Drugs, Join DFWA Kaduna Team

DFWA Kaduna state team has added two new members among the twenty people who had given up on drug misuse in Kaduna state. The Kaduna state representative shared photos of their sensitization walk against drug abuse held on the 28 of august 2021 with drug addicts who renounced drugs and joined the walk. On continuous support and follow-up, the team were happy to announce that two new members joined their team who were among the 20 persons that renounced drugs on the day of their city march against drug abuse and are presently doing well. The drug addicts have volunteered to join the fight against drug abuse in order to liberate others from the same dilemma of drug misuse. DFWA Kaduna state team are highly motivated to continuous sensitization to subdue drug Abuse and Illicit Substance in Kaduna.

POP: DFWA Congratulates NSCDC

DFWA Nasarawa state has congratulated the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) on their passing out parade. The DFWA congratulatory message is contained in a statement by Nasarawa Staterepresentative Mr. Christopher Francis on 7 July 2022 at Lafia square, Nasarawa state. He spoke on the benefit of training Nigerian Security Defense Corps in reducing unemployment in the state and charged them to always stand against drug abuse in order to remain focused and serve in their best capacity. He further stated that his presence was to congratulate them and never relent in sensitizing youths on the dangers of hard drugs. Members of NSCDS expressed delight at the sensitization and promised to protect people by tackling illicit drug supply and abuse.

DFWA hails Drogach for “No to Drug Abuse” campaign in Czech Republic

Drug free world Africa has praised the Drogach team for a good campaign against drug abuse in Czech Republic and urged them to keep up the good work. The Drogach Czech Republic team work was presented as a benchmark to the DFWA house on 6th of July 2022 by Mr. Emmanruel Ngoka a prime member of DFWA who lives in Czech Republic and works with the Drogach team. Speaking during sensitizating members, Mr. Ngoka shared an unimaginable achievement of the Drogach team as a point of encouragement and motivation for the DFWA Leaders, members and partners to keep up the good work in promoting a drug free society. “Czech Republic, is a country with a very low population but high rate of drug abuse and campaigns like this will go a long way to keep youths informed. “As much as we are Drug Free World Africa, we also believe that drug abuse is a global issue and one good way to tackle it is to do what we can wherever we find ourselves”, he said. .

DFWA talks dangers of Drug Abuse on ABS

DFWA has carried out a sensitization program tackling the dangers of drug abuse and its adverse consequences in Anambra State. The sensitization which took place on 6th of July at Anambra Broadcasting Service television had Anambra South zonal coordinator, Mrs. Akudo Loretta representing DFWA. During the morning discussion, Mrs Akudo sighted her experiences through the campaign of 26th June International day against drug abuse held at Nri city town in Anaocha LGA. Of Anambra state. She said that “1/3 of youths who attended the June 26 event shared the devastating effect of drug abuse in their lives. Their stories had it that the worst state of drug abuse is never to recognize help until it wrecks one’s life.” Mrs. Akudo therefore pointed out that one of the best ways of stemming more youths from foraying into the sad venture of drug abuse is “through sensitization, adding that in order to accomplish the DFWA objectives, youths must avoid drug abuse. She further stated that regular interaction with people who are willing to campaign against drug abuse is also a key to achieving the goal of a drug free society.
